Privacy Policy
Your photos never leave your machine. This page lists everything that does, and why.

Who is responsible
Mayank Pandey, an individual based in India, trading as LL Agent, is responsible for the personal data described here.
The short version
LocalLens and LL Agent run on your computer. We do not receive your photos, we have no user accounts, and there are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
The software
Face recognition, location lookup, sorting and duplicate detection all run on your machine.
When you use LL Agent inside Claude Desktop, text results such as counts, folder paths, place names derived from your photos' locations, and the names of people you enrolled are passed to Claude so it can answer you. Image data is never sent. Anthropic handles that conversation under its own privacy policy.
The software makes these network calls: (1) Pro activation, which happens only when you enter a licence key, sends that key and a one-way hashed device identifier to our payment provider's licence server. Subscriptions are re-checked near renewal. (2) LL Agent and the desktop app check GitHub for newer versions. (3) The desktop app loads its interface font from Google Fonts. (4) If you choose to connect a cloud AI model in the desktop app, the text you submit goes to that provider. This is off by default and asks for your consent first.
Everything the app stores is on your machine, and the app's Privacy & Data panel lets you see and erase it.
This website
Hosting: the site runs on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and operations.
Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views in aggregate. It uses no cookies and builds no profile of you.
Contact form: your name, email, the reason you picked and your message are emailed to us through Resend. We use them only to reply, and delete them on request.
Camera background: if you turn on the camera effect on the homepage, frames are processed in your browser and discarded. Nothing is recorded or sent.
Fonts come from Google Fonts, and some decorative images on the homepage from Lorem Picsum (picsum.photos). Your browser fetches these directly, so those services receive your IP address.
Your browser's local storage remembers small preferences, such as a dismissed banner.
Purchases
Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record, collects your payment and billing details. We never see your card number. Dodo shares with us what we need to run your subscription: your name, email, country, order and subscription status, and licence key. Dodo's privacy policy covers its processing.
How long we keep it
Contact messages: as long as the conversation needs, then on request. Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs: per Vercel's retention.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and, where it applies, the GDPR. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
The site and software are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
